We here at CIBF like to keep you on your toes ... Have you got your tickets for Friday night yet? Why? Because we have a very special Honored Guest taking the stage at the Friday Night Cabaret: coming from Seattle it's Maggie McMuffin!
Maggie McMuffin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After years of combining nudity with other theatrical genres such as rock musicals and cabarets, Maggie started burlesquing in 2010. Initially a stage kitten for Montana's premiere troupe The Cigarette Girls Burlesque, she quickly began work as an emcee and performer. In 2013 she headed for Seattle, quickly becoming a mainstay in the scene.
Drawing inspiration from past and present pop culture, Maggie combines comedic flair with the gritty dance moves of 1970’s strip clubs. Known as The Pelvis of Justice, she's here to hip-thrust her way into your heart. Maggie performs around the United States, often making stops in Portland, Oregon. She is the 2015 winner of 'Dirty, Dirty Stripper' at the Seattle Burlesque Games. Iva Handfull awarded her ‘Best Overall Performance’ at the So You Think You Can Iva Competition, an informal dance off that Maggie took very seriously.
**And yes, Maggie is the burlesque dancer who was kicked off of a JetBlue flight in 2016 for wearing shorts.
Maggie will be offering her 'Big Hair Don't Care' workshop on Saturday morning!
